New tenants debut at Bal Harbour Shops

Several new luxury tenants are debuting at the Bal Harbour Shops this week, including Breguet, CH Carolina Herrera, Panerai and Stella McCartney, with more on the way, according to the Miami Herald. The moves follow the high-profile departures of several retailers, including Louis Vuitton and Cartier; Hermes will also leave next year. "Duplicating uses in a center this small is not good for us in the long run," said Matthew Whitman Lazenby, the cener's operating partner. "That's never been in our DNA, not in the past and not in the future. It's always been important for us to maintain the allure of luxury, the exclusivity has always defined that." Louis Vuitton is set to open a location in Miami's Design District in 2014, after opening a branch at the Aventura Mall. "The Design District is a work in progress that is going to end up being successful in a different kind of way," said Arthur Weiner, principal of Coral Gables-based AWE Talisman
