To mark the one-year anniversary of their cooperative marketing partnership, Mercedes-AMG and Ducati are to trot out matching vehicles at the Bologna Motor Show. To complement the Ducati Streetfighter 848, the new SLK 55AMG is dressed in a drool-worthy Streetfighter yellow .
The most powerful SLK manufactured to date, the SLK 55AMG boasts a AMG 5.5-iter naturally aspirated V8 engine that cranks out 416 horsepower with a maximum toque of 540 Nm. Without compromising performance, carbon footprints are minimized by way of a cylinder shut-off system. The distinctive AMG light-alloy wheels and two chrome-plated twin tailpipes lend the exterior its athletic magnetism, while the striking black-yellow color contrast is played up in the seatbacks, door panels and steering wheel.
Combining innovative technology with sophisticated skeletal styling, the Ducati Streetfighter 848 features a revised 848 Testastretta 11’ engine with 132 horsepower and 93.5 Nm of torque.
Signed at the Los Angeles Motor Show in November 2010, the cooperation agreement between Mercedes-AMG and Ducati include joint appearances at shows and various marketing activities.
